By Isaac Eranga
BENIN CITY, NIGERIA — The Headquarters of Blessed Bible Believers Assembly (BBBA), located at 16, Oviasogie Street, opposite Ojo Junction, off Uwasota Road, Ugbowo, Benin City, became a hub of spiritual rejuvenation and fellowship as the church successfully hosted its 2026 Annual National Women Convention.
Held from August 28th to August 30th, 2026, the three-day high-impact gathering centered on the powerful theme: “The Kingdom Woman.” Women from various branches gathered to draw spiritual strength, celebrate their Christian heritage, and realign with biblical principles of womanhood.
The Qualities and Benefits of a Kingdom Woman
Addressing the congregants, the Convener of the convention and wife of the General Overseer, Pastor Mrs. Helen Aigbefoh, delivered a charge detailing the core attributes and divine blessings attached to being a Kingdom Woman.
Pastor Mrs. Aigbefoh emphasized that a Kingdom Woman must cultivate character grounded in scripture:
- Boldness & Confidence: Walking with the assurance of God’s purpose (Proverbs 28:1).
- Sisterhood over Competition: Refusing to compete with others, choosing instead to lift one another up (Philippians 2:3).
- Prayerfulness & Patience: Remaining steadfast in devotion and endurance through life’s seasons (1 Thessalonians 5:17; James 1:4).
- Forgiveness & Emotional Discipline: Letting go of offense and refusing to let anger rule (Ephesians 4:31–32).
- Biblical Submission: Honor and submission within the home as unto the Lord (Ephesians 5:22).
Pointing to biblical models, she highlighted exemplary figures including Deborah (judgeship and courage), Ruth & Naomi (loyalty and devotion), Hannah (persistent prayer), Mary (surrender to God’s will), and Esther (strategic faith and bravery). She noted that walking in these virtues positions women to receive divine favor, peace, and fruitfulness in their homes and callings.
The Behavioral Attitude of a Kingdom Woman in the Family and the Church
Setting the foundation earlier in the program, the General Overseer of BBBA and Rector of the Africa Theological Institute, Benin City, Bishop Dr. Sunday Aigbefoh, taught on “The Behavioural Attitude of a Kingdom Woman in the Family and in the Church.”
Drawing directly from Proverbs 31:11–28, Bishop Aigbefoh identified the Kingdom Woman as the quintessential “virtuous woman,” outlining how her influence manifests across her home and church community:
In the Family (Proverbs 31:11–12, 21, 26)
- Thinks ahead and complements her husband proactively.
- Knows her husband completely, doing him good and not evil, so that no room exists for suspicion.
- Works hard, avoids complaints, and rejects selfishness or fear.
- Covers her family continuously with prayers and labors diligently to clothe and care for her household.
- Operates as an industrious, wise, and supportive pillar in the home.
In the Church (Proverbs 31:20; Titus 2:3–5)
- Serves as an active participant in church activities rather than a mere spectator.
- Remains steadfast in prayer and labors to nurture spiritual children within the church.
- Acts as a unity builder and a dedicated worshipper of God.
- Gives generously, exercises discretion, and demonstrates strong faith.
- Maintains exemplary behavior and a godly character that others can copy.
Cultural Displays and Fellowship
Beyond the pulpit ministrations, the 2026 National Women Convention featured dynamic interactive segments, including scriptural quiz competitions and colorful cultural displays presented by women representing various church branches. The displays highlighted the rich cultural diversity within the ministry, unified under the umbrella of faith.
The convention concluded on Sunday with a celebration, as participants expressed renewed dedication to taking the principles of the Kingdom Woman back to their respective homes, churches, and communities.
